On Sunday May 1st the congregation dedicated a new stained glass window, a custom made storage shed and the new Westminster web site. The following was said:

We are truly blessed by God and enriched in our fellowship by the many people of this congregation who give of their time and their talent in small and large ways for the benefit of this church and for the advancement of the gospel of Christ in this place. Scripture tells us there are varieties of gifts and varieties of activities, but it is the same God who activates all of them in everyone as a manifestation of the Holy Spirit for the common good. There is no insignificant work that is done among us. All efforts -- from doing a Chimes mailing to teaching Sunday School, from maintaining our property to praying over the prayer list, from visiting the sick to participating in committee, from singing in the choir to working in the kitchen, from being an usher to being an elder -- all are important efforts by which we are mutually blessed and by which our ministry prospers.

At the same time, Scripture directs us to give thanks always to God through Christ in whom He has given us every blessing, including the blessing of one another. *Thanks be to God.

Today we recognize three different works coming out of the talent and labors of three of our friends. They are the storage shed outside, the stained glass window above the balcony, and the Westminster web site which is floating in cyber space even as we speak.

The shed is the product of the time and talent of John Rotach.

The stained glass window is an artistic creation of Fay Heim Kempton, and her daughter Rachel, who give it to the Church in honor of the congregation's children.

The web site, www.westminster-presbyterian.com, is a wonderful gift of digital wizardry and custom graphic design presented to the Church by Dirk Grove, Westminster's first reigning Web Master.

Westminster is a congregation of many people with many gifts. These three items in a certain way are singular works but in a larger sense are representative of the time, talent and various concrrete contributions all of us make to serve Christ. In that light, these gifts are gratefully acknowledged and hereby dedicated to their intended purpose and to the glory of God. Let us pray...*Amen.
