Our church newsletter, The Chimes, continues its electronic circulation with the January/February 2012 issue. Each issues continues to amaze us as Bevery Cook and Dee Austin work their magic with the news and events that comprise our church life. Those who do not access electronic media still receive copies of the newsletter and there are printed versions available within the Sanctuary at multiple locations.

The Women's Association has selected a ministry that will surely touch the hearts of everyone. Called "In Ian's Boots", Karen Dixon, Chair, notes that the program presents a special call to us because it has arisen out of a tragedy that affected some of our own church family members. When young 12 year old Ian suffered a fatal sledding accident while on a Boy Scout trip, the ER doctors found a note with a bible verse "in Ian's Boots" . The scripture from James 1:2-4 read "Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know the testing of your faith develops perserverance. Perserverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything." For more information on how your donations will assist in purchasing shoes/boots for those in need while also spreading the good news of our faith as demonstrated in Ian's life, please go to www.Iniansboots.org/home.html or pick up a brochure in our Narthex.
